PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE
THE evoltcharge IDEA
evoltcharge was created to bridge the gap between high-performance automotive engineering and intelligent electric power infrastructure.
As electric vehicles transition from early adopters to global ubiquity, the fundamental challenge moves from vehicle dynamic range to power distribution, grid integration, and thermal management.
We serve as an editorial platform, technical reference hub, and hardware distribution showcase designed to accelerate intelligent electrification.
From individual home charging installations to multi-megawatt commercial fleet depots, evoltcharge delivers authoritative insight and high-reliability energy systems.
THE PROBLEM
THE INDUSTRY IS SELLING VEHICLES. NOBODY IS SOLVING THE INFRASTRUCTURE.
For the past decade, the electric vehicle conversation has focused almost exclusively on the vehicle. Range, acceleration, cabin technology, and battery chemistry have dominated every major publication and every major purchase decision. The supporting infrastructure — the systems that actually make a fleet of electric vehicles usable — has been treated as a secondary concern.
This imbalance is now the primary constraint on electrification. A single owner can charge a single vehicle from a standard wall outlet, and the infrastructure question is manageable. A fleet of twenty vehicles cannot be managed this way. A commercial depot with forty vehicles and multi-megawatt power requirements is an entirely different engineering problem — one that combines electrical distribution, thermal management, grid coordination, and site planning in ways that most vehicle-focused publications simply do not cover.
The gap widens at every scale. Home charging installation involves panel capacity analysis, load calculation, and permitting. Commercial depot design involves utility coordination, transformer specification, load balancing, and thermal management for high-throughput use cases. Grid integration — where the depot becomes a participant in demand response or vehicle-to-grid programs — adds an entirely new layer of regulatory and technical complexity.
evoltcharge exists because no single source was covering all of this with the rigor it deserves. Vehicle reviews are abundant. Infrastructure engineering analysis is not. The two subjects are treated as separate categories when in practice they are inseparable.
SCALE 01 — HOME
Single-Vehicle Charging
Panel capacity analysis, wallbox specification, off-peak rate optimization, and local permitting.
SCALE 02 — FLEET
Multi-Vehicle Depot
Load balancing, transformer specification, depot layout, thermal management at scale, and driver workflow design.
SCALE 03 — GRID
Infrastructure Integration
Utility coordination, demand response programs, vehicle-to-grid participation, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
THE PLATFORM
THREE FUNCTIONS. ONE EDITORIAL POSITION.
evoltcharge operates as three distinct functions that share a single editorial position. Each function is documented in detail elsewhere on the site; this page explains how they relate.
01
EDITORIAL PLATFORM
Long-form analysis of electric vehicle technology, power distribution systems, and the infrastructure that makes electrification viable. Every article is written by a contributing engineer or technical specialist and cites its sources.
02
TECHNICAL REFERENCE HUB
A structured reference library covering charging standards, connector specifications, battery chemistry comparisons, and regulatory frameworks across major markets. Designed for professionals who need accurate information quickly.
03
HARDWARE SHOWCASE
A curated selection of charging hardware, power electronics, and infrastructure components that meet the platform's editorial standards for reliability, transparency, and long-term serviceability.
HOW WE WORK
EDITORIAL METHOD AND TECHNICAL RIGOR.
MEASUREMENT BEFORE OPINION
Every technical claim we publish is either measured directly, sourced from a manufacturer datasheet, or attributed to a peer-reviewed publication. Where a claim cannot be verified through one of these channels, we say so explicitly rather than presenting speculation as fact.
CITE THE SOURCE
Every article includes references to the underlying literature where relevant — IEEE papers, SAE standards, manufacturer technical documentation, and regulatory filings. Readers who want to go deeper can follow the trail.
NO SPONSORED CONTENT
The editorial platform does not accept sponsored articles, brand-funded placements, or manufacturer-supplied content. Where a piece discusses a specific manufacturer's product, it does so on the basis of its technical merits and any disclosed relationship with the platform.
CORRECTIONS IN PUBLIC
When we get something wrong, we publish a correction with the same prominence as the original claim. No silent edits, no rewritten history. The correction log is a public document.
AUDIENCE
WHO THE PLATFORM IS WRITTEN FOR.
READERSHIP 01
Engineers and technical specialists
Power electronics engineers, electrical contractors, and infrastructure specialists who need accurate technical information presented without oversimplification.
READERSHIP 02
Fleet operators and business decision-makers
Professionals responsible for transitioning commercial fleets, specifying depot infrastructure, or evaluating electrification strategies for operational environments.
READERSHIP 03
Informed individual owners
EV owners who want to understand the systems behind their vehicles — home charging infrastructure, grid interactions, battery behavior, and the engineering trade-offs that shape the products they buy.
BOUNDARIES
WHAT evoltcharge WILL NOT DO.
REFUSAL 01
No sponsored articles
The editorial platform does not accept payment for coverage. Brands cannot buy their way onto the site. Where a manufacturer relationship exists — for example, where the platform has tested equipment provided by a manufacturer — it is disclosed at the point of the relevant article.
REFUSAL 02
No speculation dressed as reporting
Where a technical question is unresolved, the platform says so and waits for reliable information rather than publishing speculation. Reader attention is treated as valuable, not as a resource to be captured with clickbait.
REFUSAL 03
No "top ten" listicles
The platform does not publish ranked lists of products, vehicles, or technologies. Ranking is a marketing device, not an analytical one. Where a comparison is useful, the platform produces a comparison framework rather than a score.
REFUSAL 04
No untraceable claims
Every quantitative claim published on the site can be traced to a specific source — a measurement, a datasheet, or a cited publication. Where a claim cannot be traced, it does not get published.
INDEPENDENCE
NOBODY PAYS TO BE ON THIS PLATFORM.
The editorial platform, the technical reference hub, and the hardware showcase all operate under the same independence standard. No manufacturer or brand can pay for inclusion in any editorial feature, product recommendation, or technical comparison. Where an affiliate relationship exists — which is disclosed at the point of the relevant link — it never determines what gets recommended.
A recommendation is only worth something if it is honest. That principle is not negotiable, and no exception is made for any brand regardless of size, history, or relationship with the platform.

KNOWLEDGE BASE
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Answers to the questions we receive most often about the platform, our hardware catalog, installation, support, and account management. If your question is not covered below, contact the editorial team directly — we respond personally.
FAQ-001
What is evoltcharge and what does the platform actually do?
+
evoltcharge operates as three related functions: an editorial platform covering electric vehicle technology and infrastructure engineering, a technical reference hub for charging standards and regulatory frameworks, and a curated hardware showcase for charging systems, power electronics, and infrastructure components.
The platform exists because most coverage of electrification focuses on vehicles while treating the supporting infrastructure as a secondary concern. In practice, the infrastructure is where the majority of electrification's technical challenges now sit — from residential panel upgrades to multi-megawatt depot design.
FAQ-002
Who writes the editorial content, and how is it verified?
+
Every article is written by a contributing engineer or technical specialist with direct experience in the subject being covered. Quantitative claims are either measured directly by the platform, sourced from manufacturer datasheets, or attributed to peer-reviewed publications. Where a claim cannot be verified through one of these channels, the article says so explicitly.
Every article includes references to the underlying literature where relevant — IEEE papers, SAE standards, manufacturer technical documentation, and regulatory filings — so readers can follow the trail themselves.
FAQ-003
Is editorial content sponsored or influenced by manufacturers?
+
No. The platform does not accept sponsored articles, brand-funded placements, or manufacturer-supplied content. Where a piece discusses a specific manufacturer's product, it does so on the basis of its technical merits and any disclosed relationship with the platform.
Where an affiliate relationship exists — which is rare — it is disclosed at the point of the relevant link and never influences what gets recommended. A recommendation is only worth something if it is honest.
FAQ-004
How are products selected for the hardware catalog?
+
Every product listed in the catalog is reviewed by the editorial team against three criteria: technical reliability (confirmed by manufacturer specifications and, where possible, third-party test data), transparency (full disclosure of specifications and limitations), and long-term serviceability (available replacement parts, service documentation, and support infrastructure).
No manufacturer has paid for inclusion in the catalog. Where a product is not listed — because it failed one of the three criteria — the platform does not publish negative reviews by way of explanation. Products are simply not listed.
FAQ-005
Do you ship internationally, and what about customs and duties?
+
The platform ships through regional hardware distribution partners. Availability varies by country and, for commercial products, by local electrical code compliance. Where a product is available in your region, it is delivered by the local distribution partner and supported according to their warranty and service terms.
Customs and duties are the responsibility of the purchaser. Where a product is not available in your region, the platform will indicate the nearest available alternative or recommend a local supplier.
FAQ-006
What is the difference between "listed price" and "Quote" products?
+
Products with a listed price are standard configurations available for direct purchase through regional distribution partners. The listed price reflects current distribution pricing at the time of listing.
Products marked "Quote" require configuration consultation — typically because they involve custom power specifications, site-specific integration requirements, or commercial procurement terms. A quote request initiates a consultation with the platform's technical team, who will discuss the specific site requirements before providing pricing.
FAQ-007
Do you offer installation services or recommend installers?
+
The platform does not perform installation directly, but maintains a list of qualified installers by region who have been vetted for electrical licensing, EVSE installation experience, and warranty support capability.
For commercial installations, the platform can provide technical consultation on site planning, load calculation, and specification. Where a project requires licensed engineering review, the platform will recommend a licensed electrical engineering firm in the project region.
FAQ-008
What electrical service do I need for a home wallbox installation?
+
Residential charging power depends on the model. A standard 7 kW (32A) wallbox requires a dedicated 40A circuit and typically fits within an existing 100A residential service. An 11 kW three-phase unit requires a 400V three-phase service. A 22 kW unit requires a three-phase service with a minimum 32A per phase.
Where the household panel cannot accommodate the additional load, a load management controller can be added to dynamically throttle the wallbox based on real-time household demand. This is the most common solution for homes with older or smaller electrical panels, and it enables full-speed charging within an existing service.
FAQ-009
What does the warranty cover, and how are warranty claims handled?
+
Warranty terms are specified per product and vary by manufacturer. Residential wallboxes typically carry a 3 to 5 year warranty. Commercial DC fast charging equipment typically carries a 3 year on-site warranty. Software products carry a 12-month service warranty with renewal terms.
Warranty claims are handled through the regional distribution partner who supplied the product. The platform provides technical documentation and liaises between the customer and the distributor where required. Where a product fails under warranty, the distributor is responsible for repair or replacement per the manufacturer's terms.
FAQ-010
Can I schedule a technical consultation before purchasing commercial hardware?
+
Yes. For commercial hardware and depot-scale infrastructure, the platform offers a scoping consultation before any commitment. The consultation covers site requirements, electrical service capacity, load profile, throughput expectations, and compliance considerations.
Consultations are conducted by the platform's technical team and are provided at no cost for genuine commercial projects. Where a project requires extensive engineering work — for example, full system design for a multi-site depot — the platform can refer to licensed engineering partners.
FAQ-011
How is my personal information and order data handled?
+
All account preferences and cart data are stored locally in your browser using HTML5 LocalStorage. The platform does not operate a centralised user database, does not deploy advertising tracking, and does not sell or share reader information with third parties.
Where an order is placed, the minimum necessary information — name, address, contact details, and order specification — is passed to the regional distribution partner to fulfil the shipment. Full details are available in the platform's Privacy Policy.
FAQ-012
What is the return and cancellation policy?
+
Standard hardware products may be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, uninstalled condition for a full refund of the product price, minus return shipping unless the return is due to a defect or platform error.
Installed products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty rather than the return policy. Custom-configured commercial products and software licenses are not eligible for return once the configuration has been confirmed and the product shipped or delivered.

PRIVACY POLICY
Last Updated: October 2026
Version 1.0
At evoltcharge, we prioritize transparency regarding client and visitor data across our digital editorial and analytical platforms.
This document is written in plain language on purpose. A privacy policy that cannot be understood by the reader it protects does not protect anyone. If any part of this policy is unclear, contact the editorial team through the contact form and we will answer your question personally.
The Short Version
evoltcharge does not sell, rent, or trade visitor information. Cart data, newsletter subscriptions, and site preferences are stored locally in your browser. We do not deploy advertising tracking scripts. We do not operate a centralised user database. When you clear your browser data, our view of you is gone — because we never had one.
1. Information Collection
We do not collect personal identify information unless voluntarily provided via direct inquiry forms, email subscriptions, or transactional quote requests.
Information provided through these channels falls into three categories:
- Information you provide voluntarily. Name, email address, phone number, organisational affiliation, and any technical details submitted through the contact form, newsletter form, or commercial quote request form.
- Information stored in your browser. Cart contents, newsletter subscription state, and display preferences, all stored in browser LocalStorage on your device.
- Technical information collected automatically. Standard server log data (IP address, browser type, timestamps) retained by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics only.
Information is used exclusively for the purpose for which it was submitted. Inquiry forms are used to prepare a response. Newsletter subscriptions are used to deliver editorial dispatches. Quote requests are used to prepare commercial proposals. Nothing is used for profiling, behavioral advertising, or any secondary purpose without explicit consent.
2. Local Storage Usage
This web application utilizes browser localStorage solely to maintain state preferences, demo shopping cart items (evoltcharge_cart), and newsletter preferences (evoltcharge_newsletter_emails).
The complete list of LocalStorage keys set by the site:
evoltcharge_cart — shopping cart contents. Retained until checkout is completed, the cart is emptied, or browser data is cleared.
evoltcharge_newsletter_emails — newsletter subscription state. Retained until the reader unsubscribes or clears browser data.
evoltcharge_preferences — display and filter preferences, such as last-selected product category. Retained until browser data is cleared.
No other LocalStorage keys are set by the site. No cookies are set by the site. No third-party scripts on the site set cookies or LocalStorage on our behalf.
3. What We Do Not Do
The following are common practices on other technical and commercial websites. evoltcharge does none of them:
- We do not sell, rent, or trade visitor information to advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not deploy advertising or retargeting pixels.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or equivalent visitor tracking tools.
- We do not run session recording, heatmapping, or A/B testing platforms.
- We do not maintain a centralised user database that can be exported or breached.
- We do not use cross-device fingerprinting or attempt to link your identity across sessions.
4. Third-Party Assets
The site loads several third-party resources as static assets. These providers may log the requesting IP address as part of standard content delivery:
- Google Fonts — typography stylesheets and font files.
- Unsplash — editorial photography used in articles and product listings.
- Tailwind CSS CDN — CSS framework stylesheet.
- Font Awesome CDN — icon stylesheet for interface elements.
Each provider operates under its own privacy practices, which are outside our control. Where a reader wishes to avoid third-party content delivery entirely, standard browser privacy tools or content blockers can be used to prevent these resources from loading.
5. Commercial Quote Requests
Where a visitor submits a commercial quote request for hardware, depot infrastructure, or engineering consultation, the information provided is used to prepare a scoping proposal. Quote request information is handled with the same confidentiality standard as editorial client information, is retained only for as long as required to complete the engagement, and is never disclosed to any manufacturer or distribution partner without the requester's written consent.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights regarding your personal information. In practice, because we hold almost nothing on our servers, most of those rights are already satisfied by default:
- Access. You may request a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. You may request that inaccurate information be corrected.
- Deletion. You may request that we delete information we hold. Where the information lives in your browser's LocalStorage, you can remove it yourself by clearing browser data.
- Portability. You may request that any information we hold be transferred in a machine-readable format.
- Objection. You may object to any specific processing activity we carry out.
- Complaint. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact the editorial team through the contact form. Requests are acknowledged within 5 working days and resolved within 30 calendar days unless a longer period is legally permitted.
7. Security and Data Breach
The site uses encrypted transmission (HTTPS) for all traffic. Because cart, newsletter, and preference data are processed client-side, they are not exposed to network-level interception during use. Where we do retain information — inquiry submissions, confirmed subscriptions, and quote request records — we apply role-based access controls and store the information only for as long as required by the purpose for which it was collected.
If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by applicable law.
8. Children's Privacy
The site is directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided information to the site, contact the editorial team and we will arrange for it to be removed.
9. Changes and Contact
This policy is reviewed at least annually and updated whenever our practices change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent substantive revision. If we introduce new functionality — analytics, user accounts, or paid subscriptions — this policy will be updated before that functionality is deployed.
Questions, requests, and complaints regarding this policy can be directed to the editorial team through the contact form. Every privacy enquiry is answered personally.
TERMS OF SERVICE & DISCLAIMERS
Effective Date: October 2026
Version 1.0
Welcome to evoltcharge. By accessing this platform, you agree to comply with all operational guidelines and safety disclaimers.
These terms govern the use of the evoltcharge website, its editorial content, its analytical tools, and the hardware catalog it presents. If anything here is unclear, contact the editorial team before relying on any part of the site.
1. Illustrative Analytical Tools
All EV range, charging duration, and energy flow calculators provided on this platform offer illustrative estimates. Real-world performance depends on ambient temperature, vehicle hardware limits, and utility grid constraints.
Specifically, the following limitations apply to every analytical tool on the site:
- Range estimates assume moderate ambient temperatures (15–25 °C / 59–77 °F), level terrain, and steady-state highway driving. Cold weather can reduce usable range by 20–40% depending on the vehicle's thermal management system.
- Charging duration estimates assume the vehicle arrives at a charger with a preconditioned battery and that the charging station can deliver its rated peak output throughout the session. Neither condition holds in all real-world cases.
- Energy flow figures are based on the specific vehicle and charger configurations in the tool's database. Where real-world hardware differs — due to vehicle firmware, charger behavior, or grid conditions — the estimates will not match observed performance.
- Cost estimates depend on regional utility rates, time-of-day pricing schedules, and the specific charging network used. Rates vary widely by jurisdiction and change over time.
These tools are provided for editorial and educational purposes. They do not constitute engineering advice for a specific installation or a specific vehicle.
2. Electrical Safety Standard
Information on this site does not constitute certified electrical engineering instructions. Always consult licensed master electricians for high-voltage installations.
This disclaimer applies to all editorial content describing charging infrastructure, panel design, load management, and power electronics. The content on this site is written by technical editors with relevant experience, but editorial experience is not the same as a licensed engineering certification for a specific installation.
Specifically:
- Editorial articles describing installation procedures are provided as background information, not as step-by-step instructions.
- Any specific installation requires a licensed electrical contractor who has inspected the site and confirmed compliance with local electrical code.
- Commercial depot installations require licensed engineering review and, in most jurisdictions, a licensed electrical engineer's stamp on the design documents.
- Where the site describes best practices, those practices must be reconciled with local code before implementation.
evoltcharge accepts no liability for installations performed without licensed oversight, or for deviations from local code made on the basis of editorial content.
3. Hardware Catalog Disclaimers
The hardware catalog presents products that meet the platform's editorial standards for reliability, transparency, and serviceability. Product listings describe specifications as reported by the manufacturer and, where available, verified by third-party testing.
The following terms apply to hardware sold or quoted through the catalog:
- Regional availability: Product availability varies by country and region, depending on local electrical code compliance and distribution partners. Where a product is not available in your region, the platform will indicate the nearest available alternative.
- Warranty: Warranty terms are specified per product and vary by manufacturer. Warranty claims are handled through the regional distribution partner who supplied the product.
- Specifications: While the platform takes care to present accurate specifications, manufacturers may change product specifications without notice. Where a specific specification is critical to an installation, confirm directly with the manufacturer before purchase.
- Configuration: Products marked "Quote" require configuration consultation and are quoted individually. The final specification for any quoted product is defined in the engagement proposal signed at the time of order.
4. Returns and Cancellations
Standard hardware products may be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, uninstalled condition for a full refund of the product price, minus return shipping unless the return is due to a defect or platform error.
The following categories are not eligible for return:
- Products that have been installed, connected to electrical service, or otherwise put into operation.
- Custom-configured commercial hardware once the configuration has been confirmed and the product shipped or delivered.
- Software licenses after activation.
- Consumables and single-use accessories once opened.
For quoted products, cancellation terms are defined in the individual engagement proposal. Where no proposal has been signed, no commitment exists and no cancellation applies.
5. Intellectual Property
All editorial content, tool source code, product photography, layout structures, and brand marks associated with evoltcharge are protected intellectual property. This includes the platform's technical reference material, the analytical tools, and the visual design of the site itself.
Short excerpts of editorial content may be quoted for the purposes of review, commentary, or criticism, provided attribution is given and a link to the original page is included. Full reproductions on other websites, in newsletters, or in print require prior written consent.
"evoltcharge" and the associated wordmark are trademarks of the platform. Use of these marks without written permission is not authorized.
6. Editorial Independence
Editorial content, product recommendations, and hardware catalog selections published on this platform are made independently. No manufacturer or brand pays for inclusion in any article, comparison, or catalog listing. Where an affiliate relationship exists — which is disclosed at the point of the relevant link — it never determines the editorial position taken.
A recommendation is only worth something if it is honest. This principle is not negotiable, and no exception is made for any brand regardless of size, history, or relationship with the platform.
7. Use of the Site
You are welcome to browse the platform, read editorial content, use the analytical tools, and share links to individual pages. You agree not to:
- Scrape the site systematically or mirror substantial portions of it on other domains.
- Attempt to compromise security features, rate limits, or access controls.
- Use the site to transmit malware, spam, or unsolicited communications.
- Use editorial content or tool output to train machine-learning models without written permission.
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when interacting with the platform.
8. Limitation of Liability
The platform and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we take considerable care to ensure accuracy, we make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that editorial content will remain current indefinitely.
evoltcharge's liability for any claim arising from the use of the site or reliance on its content is limited to the amount paid for the specific product or service in question, or to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law where no payment has been made. This limitation does not apply where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
9. Dispute Resolution
The platform is committed to resolving disagreements amicably. Where an issue arises, contact the editorial team in writing with details. We will respond within 14 days. Where direct resolution is not achieved, both parties agree to engage a mutually acceptable mediator before pursuing legal action.
10. Changes and Contact
These terms are reviewed periodically and updated when necessary. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the most recent substantive revision. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions about these terms can be directed to the editorial team through the contact form. We respond personally.
